Pulsatilla patens

  • Up-facing, pale lavender flowers in spring, followed by fluffy seedheads.
  • Forms a compact clump of fuzzy, ferny, grey-green foliage.
  • Attracts pollinators.
  • Native species; floral emblem of Manitoba.

Average to poor, sandy, well-drained soil; drought tolerant once established. Sun.
