PLEASE NOTE: PLANTS MAY NOT APPEAR EXACTLY AS SHOWN. POT SIZES WILL VARY.
Fragrant, snow-white flowers with yellow throats appear on pendulous spikes in winter to spring.
Short, rounded pseudobulbs with narrow leaves.
Light: Bright (east or west window). Direct hot afternoon sun can burn the foliage.
Water: In spring/summer, keep evenly moist. Watering should be reduced in fall, and in winter water just enough to keep the pseudobulbs from shriveling severely. Too much water in winter will inhibit flower production.
Fertilizer: Use an orchid fertilizer such as Jack's 30-10-10 according to package instructions. Withhold fertilizer in winter.
Other tips: Provide a cooler, drier winter rest with no fertilizer to encourage reblooming. Plants should be potted into shallow containers in which the roots fit snuggly; use an orchid mix such as Orchiata Power or Willgro General Mix for mature plants. It's normal for dieback of the older leaves to occur during winter. If you notice excessive leaf tip dieback on the newest leaves, the plant is too dry.
