Centaurea montana

  • Masses of starry, blue flowers in summer; deadhead to prolong blooming.
  • Forms a vigorous clump of fuzzy leaves; spreads by suckering and self-seeding.
  • Attracts pollinators.

Average to poor, well-drained soil; drought tolerant once established. Sun to pt. shade.
