Hierochloe odorata

• Sod forming grass with bright green blades that give off a sweet scent when burned,
• Pinkish flowerspikes in early summer.
• Aggressive spreader; plant in a large or contained area.
• Native species; traditionally used in First Nations ceremonies.

Fertile, moist to wet soil. Sun. Cut back to 2cm in early spring.
